AYANA CITIZEN TV 5TH OCTOBER 2026 MONDAY PART 1 AND PART 2 FULL EPISODE COMBINED

How to Reduce Video File Size for Email (Under 25 MB, Free)

Gmail stops you at 25 MB. Outlook is usually 20 MB. Many company mail servers are stricter still. A video from a modern phone blows past all of those in under a minute of footage, which is why “attach video to email” so often ends with “the file is too large” and a link to a cloud drive the recipient may not be able to open.

Compressing the video first is the clean solution. Done properly, a two-minute clip fits comfortably under 25 MB and still looks good. The Uhondo video compressor does it in your browser, free, without uploading the file anywhere.

Compress a video for email

  1. Open pewauhondo.com/video-tools and click Compress.
  2. Choose the video.
  3. Pick Medium compression and 720p as a starting point.
  4. Click Compress. The result shows the new size and the percentage saved. If it’s still too big, run it again with Strong or 480p.

The output is an MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio, which opens on any computer or phone straight from the email.

How small can you go?

As a rough guide for a phone video with normal motion:

Length720p Medium480p Strong
1 minute6–10 MB3–5 MB
2 minutes12–20 MB6–10 MB
5 minutes30–50 MB15–25 MB

So a clip up to about two minutes fits under 25 MB at good quality, and up to five minutes if you accept 480p. Anything longer, trim it first (the Trim tab is instant) or send it in parts.

Talking-head and screen-recording videos compress far better than these numbers, because so little changes between frames.

Why resolution matters more than anything

Halving the resolution roughly halves the file size, and on the recipient’s screen, 720p looks very close to 1080p. Most people watch email attachments on a laptop or a phone, so 4K and 1080p are wasted bytes. Set 720p and let the compression level fine-tune from there.

No upload, no waiting

Many “compress video for email” sites work by uploading your video to their servers. That’s slow, doubles your data usage, and puts your video on a machine you don’t control. The Uhondo tool runs FFmpeg inside your browser, so your device does the compression and the file never leaves it. The only download is the engine, once, about 30 MB, which is cached afterwards.

Compression takes real work, so a two-minute clip takes roughly one to two minutes on a laptop and longer on a phone. You’ll see a progress bar with a time estimate.

Alternatives, honestly

If the video is long and quality really matters, a link to Google Drive or WeTransfer is the right answer. But for a short clip that should simply arrive in the inbox and play when opened, compressing to a small MP4 is faster for you and easier for the person receiving it.

Shrink your video now with the free video compressor and attach it without the size error.
