Key FSU target projected to SEC rival

It is early, but the FSU Seminoles have one of the better 2028 recruiting classes in the country, but the work is far from done. One position they still need to address is wide receiver, where one of their top targets is Tallahassee native Bubba Brown.

The four-star prospect plays for Florida State University School, but the Seminoles are far from the only school recruiting him. He has visited FSU three times this season, including for their games against the New Mexico State Aggies and SMU Mustangs in Doak Campbell Stadium.

While those visits were important, he took one to see the Florida Gators last weekend for their win over the Ole Miss Rebels, and it appears to have shifted his recruitment, with the Gators emerging as the early leader in a contested recruitment.

Corey Bender, Chad Simmons, and Blake Alderman of Rivals have all predicted that Brown will commit to Florida. The three predictions give them a 97.7% chance to land Brown. Zach Blostein and Tyler Harden of 247Sports both agree, both logging crystal balls in Florida's favor.

Brown is ranked as the No. 146 overall player and No. 23 wide receiver in the Rivals industry ranking. He is also the No. 18 player from Florida.

He has had a productive start to his junior season, his first back in Tallahassee after he played his sophomore season at Lowndes High School in Valdosta, Georgia. Brown has caught 25 passes for 396 yards and five touchdowns, leading them in all three categories by a wide margin.
