The San Antonio Spurs enjoy what Mason Plumlee brings to the table after signing the veteran center to a 10-day contract on Feb. 17.
San Antonio decided to keep him moving forward and signed the 35-year-old to a contract that will link him with the team for the remainder of the 2025-26 season, ESPN reports.
It's been a slow season for Plumlee as his younger days are behind him. He will be another veteran added to the Spurs roster as they look towards being a contender for an NBA championship this season.
Timeline of Mason Plumlee's 2025-26 season
San Antonio is the third team that Plumlee has been a part of this season.
He signed a one-year, $3.63 million deal with the Charlotte Hornets in what would be his second stint with the organization.
Plumlee underwent groin surgery in late December, which led to him becoming a trade candidate ahead of the Feb. 5 deadline. This resulted in the Hornets dealing him to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
OKC would go on to waive the veteran, which has led to him signing with the Spurs for the rest of the season.
In recent years, Plumlee has been a role-playing big man. As a seven-foot, 254-pound center, he has appeared in 14 games this season, averaging 1.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists while shooting 75.0 percent from the field.
For a career, he averages 7.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists with a 59.6 shooting percentage.
